He requested a depiction of a typical scene from his Damned Planet series.

For this, I went with the lattice vines, which squeeze elves trying to pass through its openings, in reaction to the heat that their bodies give off. Trapped elves have a few hours to free themselves before others have to resort to cutting away the vines, which is very difficult. However, these two elves have devised a buddy system to get through this situation – literally.

The friend with the wider hips goes through first. If she gets stuck, then the friend with the narrower hips simply helps to push her through. When the wider-hipped friend gets free, there is a chance that the opening she crawled through is still big enough for the narrower-hipped elf to pass through. In the likelihood that this second elf also gets stuck, the first elf simply helps to pull her through. In the rare chance that one of them cannot get free in time, each of the two friends is equipped with a suitable knife for cutting through the vines.
