A remake of a preview of a comic of :icontbonetony:'s "Cave Girl, in honor of Sticky-Site month in March.
Cave GirlCave Girl (PG)
TBone Tony
Theme: Tar
Back when there was an age of Dinosaurs and cave humans (I know that the dinosaurs died out long before the first cave man, but this is a story) there was a young sweet 16 year old cave girl.
The Cave Girl was brought up to be hunter and provide food for her clan, but she also was a girl who was interested in all the animals in her prehistoric world. Her interest in animals gave her the knowledge of survival when it came to the hungry dinosaurs that wanted to eat her and it became helpful in hunting other animals that were on her food list.
One day as the Cave Girl was picking fruit from the top of tall prehistoric trees, she heard a loud booming moan coming from not so far below her.
"What was that?" the Cave Girl asked herself.
Suddenly the ground started to shake violently.
As the ground began to crumble, the Cave Girl swang herself off the tree she was in before it fell to the ground.
The Cave Girl continued to swing herself from branch to branc
Cave Girl Original Illustrations by roukaryu  Cave Girl Preview by roukaryu  Cave Girl (1) by roukaryu
Now with Cave Girl's design true to the original illustrations from the fallen Sticky-Site. And with dinosaurs consistently being reconstructed with more meat on them, I deemed it proper to do the same for Cave Girl (if you know what I mean~).

My redesigned dinosaurs here are inspired by :iconnashd1: and his works on his unorthodox and revolutionary theories on dinosaur biology - from appearances to behaviors and much more.

Brontosaurus/Apatosaurus:
-The famous genus, "Brontosaurus", has been revalidated from the previously reassigned "Apatosaurus". Since this is the original name used in the original story, I will be using this genus in place of Apatosaurus in any future corresponding artwork.
-Knobby bosses on the neck vertebrae suggest large growths extending from the sides of the throat, which males would use to combat each other for mates and/or territory.
-The frayed skin at the tip of the tail is :iconnashd1:'s extension of the hypothesis that the bullwhip-like tails of diplodocid sauropods could break the sound barrier in addition to having devastating power. He suggests that the bullwhip action would deteriorate the surrounding skin, warranting constant skin growth to replenish the old.

Species of giant drome ("raptor")
-I'm still sticking to the giant species of dromes (Dromaeosaurs/"raptors"). Previously I've been using the less well-known Achillobator of Mongolia, but I might change it to the more famous Utahraptor, which is bigger and known to be heavily built, and thus a group could be more of a threat to sauropod characters here. The newly discovered Dakotaraptor is too lightweight in comparison.
-Lips before beak in dromes and other theropod dinosaurs. :iconnashd1: explains it better in his blog.
The requested sequel, "Broken", is still incomplete. I do want to get back to it, but I don't know if I'll actually have the time.

I remember the comic, it was flipping fantastic!!!!  Will it also be remade with this preview or was it a one shot thing for the anniversary?

Looks like the poor girl is in a real pickle here.  Quite deep in the tar as it hungrily clings onto her form.  Even snapping a part of her top to get at her skin.  The struggles and desperation is clearly shown on her face.  And it certainly doesn't help that she has QUITE the ferocious looking raptor ready to try and pounce on her.  Good thing the Saurapod's there ready to shoo him away.

Ok, I've loved your works with the dinosaurs, and this just takes the cake!!!!  Loving the little details like how the raptor's jaw looks as he's snarling.  It's quite interesting about the "frayed skin" for the tail, I need to do some research into my dino knowledge as I've fallen behind severely lol.

Keep up the great work, can't wait to see what you'll make next.

I'd like to remake the whole comic some day, but at this time I don't have any plans yet. For now, I'm still hoping to draw her every now and again.

Anyways, glad you like it. I'll be doing my best. :)

That is quite good illustration you have made there, as well as references to the older artwork from the sticky site that used to be around.

I am still amazed that the story itself still is remembered after what seems like 11 years since I originally wrote it.

Been going though some stressful times in real life but I am thankful to know that there are always some fans out there who still feel passionate for one of my older stories I used to write years ago.

Really glad you like it. I love this story too much to let it go extinct. The Cave Girl's sticky situation in a world full of dinosaurs made it unforgettable to me. I just wish I could do more than I have been.

I've been wanting to get back to this story for a while. I was halfway through the sequel that someone requested until life happened, and the next parts of the plot kinda faded on me over time.

Well some of the more politically correct elements in the paleo world might take exception to this piece but fuck 'em - who doesn't like boobs anyways? Thanks for all of the mentions but I can't take credit for the frayed supersonic tail whip idea. I overheard it at an SVP convention but can't recall who said it.

SVP? As in Society of Vertebrate Paleontology? That's amazing!

Not in a talk just in a side discussion of supersonic tail whips.

Still valuable all the same, if you ask me.

By the way, love your blogs. Especially the ones about ankylosaur feeding behaviors. I've been looking to apply some of those in future artworks, especially for my ankylosaur character.

Yeah I love ankylosaurs and will do more stuff and ideas on them in the future. They are truly kaiju dinosaurs.

Speaking of kaiju dinosaurs, just read your blog discussing kaiju in the media as a model for macro-dinosaurs in regards to their ecology, reproduction, and behavior. The long incubation period for macro-dinosaurs was something I speculated myself, but I never would have guessed for so long.

Nice redesign of cave girl and the dinosaurs.  I particularly like the extra meatiness of cave girl.  Her arms also have nice muscle tone in them, perfect for the sticky situation she finds herself stuck in.

Great job depicting struggling action by drawing one shoulder higher than the other as she strains to free her stuck arms, and beautiful work showing the intensity of her struggles by having her breasts bounce about.  The tar looks nice, thick, gooey, and very sticky, and the way you drew the tar stretching and clinging to her arms and breasts makes her look hopelessly stuck and very trapped.  I also like the multiple perils she has to deal with...  the tar, the dinosaurs, and the approaching lava flow.

Thanks for sharing!

Sure thing. Glad you like it.

Your words mean a lot and I'm always looking to improve my art skills, especially with creating visuals for one of my favorite Sticky-Site stories that combines two of my favorite things - dinosaurs and stuck girls.

I was wondering when you'd do sinky stuff again.  The tar does look really inviting, too...

Same here, it's been so long. It feels good to draw some sinking again.

Not likely. A lot of things in this world tend to be matters of life and death.

Maybe, but that didn't stop Chelsea from enjoying a tar sink...

True. I know I've enjoyed watching her sink in tar. Then again, the environment's probably not quite as dangerous as a world full of dinosaurs.

Maybe the cave girl should notice a strange but pleasant feeling as she sinks...like what happened with Chelsea...

That's a possibility. Although the threat of a volcanic eruption would distract from that.
